Dec. 11, 1962 — Oct. 26, 2025
Laurette Marie Klar passed away in her home on Oct. 26, 2025, after a courageous 18-month battle with ovarian cancer. She was born to Harry and Theresa Moczygemba Klar on Dec. 11, 1962, and was the second oldest of the five Klar girls.
Raised on her parents’ ranch east of Boerne, Texas, Laurette developed a love for hard work and agriculture through showing livestock and working with her family. She attended Boerne ISD 1st-2th grade, graduating from Boerne High in 1981.
In 1985, Laurette received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Angelo State University. She returned to the Boerne area to live and work amidst the familiarity of her valued childhood. Her work ethic and loyalty quickly earned her a respected reputation in the workplace, and she spent the last 21 years of her career fully dedicated to Granstaff, Gaedke & Edgmon, P.C. in San Antonio.
Laurette worked for pay, and she also worked for play. In 1998, she became her dad’s sidekick making weekly trips to the family ranch in Junction, Texas. This commitment eventually transitioned into caring for her aging parents supporting their decision to remain home until their passing.
Embracing every facet of ranching, recycling and gardening, meaningful relationships were established and nurtured throughout the Texas Hill Country. Family was first; but she truly enjoyed sharing her story, her energy & her abundant harvest with all. Laurette is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Theresa Klar. Her sisters Donna (David) Inman, Harriette (Tony) Frels, Elaine (Hank) Rogers, and Beatrice (Mike) Casey will certainly miss their 5th. Her nieces and nephews will cherish fond memories as Laurette treasured time spent with them and even taught many of them to drive. And her countless friends spanning the state will hold her close in their hearts as each one held a special place in hers.
The family will receive condolences on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home, Boerne, Texas, from 4-6 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church Honey Creek, Spring Branch, Texas.
