NOVEMBER 13 

* BOERNE AREA DEMOCRATS will host a meeting at 28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen, 110 Market Ave., at 11:30 a.m. Guest speaker will be Kendall Scudder, chairman of the Texas Democratic Party. Meeting is open to the public.

NOVEMBER 15 

* HERFF HOUSE TOURS at Herff Farm, tours available 10:30-noon. Step back in time with a tour of our historic Herff House at Herff Farm, an 1800s homestead, and experience the drama and wonder of early Texas life.  

* FALL MOVIE NIGHT by Hill Country Council for the Arts. Guests are invited to enjoy a fall evening with a free outdoor screening of Little Women (1949). Movie begins shortly after 5:30 p.m. Hosted at The AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center. Free to attend.   

NOVEMBER 16 

* SINGING BOWLS LADY at San Antonio Yoga. Enjoy a soothing, relaxing hour of sound balancing through the melodic experience of Christal bowls. Event runs from 5-6 p.m. Details: www.singingbowllady.com.  

NOVEMBER 17 

* HERFF FARM BIRD SURVEY: Volunteers will help identify and count bird species in the riparian, savannah and human structure habitats of Herff Farm, from 8-11:30 a.m. All experience levels welcome.  

NOVEMBER 18 

* VETERAN OUTREACH COMMITTEE: Join the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce for its Veteran Outreach Committee meeting 9-10:30 a.m. at 28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen. The committee is designed to provide insights and strategies for veteran business members and aspiring veteran entrepreneurs.  

* OPEN HOUSE AT Patriot Academy. Get a look at the campus of the new Patriot Academy location, 1776 Patriot Way outside Comfort, and take the opportunity to meet the president and founder at this open house from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Free coffee and dessert.  NOVEMBER 21 

* BOERNE HANDMADE MARKET is the largest market of its kind in South Texas. The two-day event features jewelry, apparel, leather goods, toys and more. Hosted from 9:30 to 4 p.m. at nineteen:ten Church, 130 Sisterdale Road, Boerne. VIP Ticket $25; Saturday admission is $5. Contact: [email protected].  

* BOOKS & BOTTLES by Lost Oak Cellars and The Boerne Bookshop. From 6-8 p.m., guests can sip local wines, browse curated book selections, and enjoy charcuterie and light bites in a cozy Hill Country setting. A perfect night for readers and wine lovers alike. Free to attend.   

NOVEMBER 22 

* VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION BREAKFAST at Herff Farm: Join a warm and joyful celebration for The Cibolo Center for Conservation’s volunteers. From 9-11:30 a.m., come by the Herff House to enjoy farm-fresh breakfast tacos, fun activities, and fellowship with other volunteers. 

 * YMCA TURKEY TROT: Run in the 14th annual YMCA 5k/10k Turkey Trot. The run takes place on a scenic city run. The Trail Walk is a meandering mile walk on the Cibolo Creek Trail. Register at www.athleteguild.com.  

NOVEMBER 28 

* DICKENS ON MAIN: Kick off the holiday season at Dickens on Main on Nov. 29 and 30. Enjoy live entertainment, photos with Santa, ice sculpting, children’s crafts, holiday shopping, and even snow on Main Street — all along the festive Hill Country Mile. Festivities run noon to 10 p.m. each day.   

NOVEMBER 29 

* BREAKFAST WITH SANTA: Join Tapatio Springs for its annual Breakfast with Santa event, families can savor a delicious brunch together while the children share their holiday wishes with Santa. Seating times are 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. $35/adult. $17/child. Reservations: 830-537-6228.  

* CHRISTMAS CANDLE WORKSHOP by the Downtown DIY: Kick off the magic of Dickens on Main with a cozy and creative candle making class. Hosted from 1-3 p.m. at The Downtown DIY, 195 S. Main St. in Boerne.
