Times are 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Join certified guides for an interpretive walk to Honey Creek, to learn about the area's natural and cultural history. JANUARY 2

* POLAR PLUNGE at Tapatio Springs: From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., gather your friends, family and fellow thrill-seekers and start 2026 with a refreshing dip at Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort, 1 Resort Way, Boerne. Prizes for the best costume. RSVP to [email protected]

JANUARY 3

* TROUT FISHING FUN at Guadalupe State Park: Anglers of all ages are invited to enjoy a day of fishing for rainbow trout. Fish between 9 a.m. and noon for a chance to win prizes, with certificates for first-time catches. Enjoy this free activity with park admission. Limited loaner gear is available.

JANUARY 8

* NATURE BOX WORKSHOP: Cibolo Nature Center is seeking volunteers to help with naturebased activities for elementary classrooms through its outreach program. From 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., attend an informational workshop to learn more about the curriculum and how to get involved.

* KIDS GOLF CAMP: Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort is hosting a fun winter-themed Kids Golf Camp, open to the public, for $95 per person. Hosted on January 8-9 for two days of learning, playing and building golf skills. RSVP to [email protected] 

JANUARY 10

* MURDER MYSTERY NIGHT at Richter Cork & Keg: Attend this interactive murder mystery dinner from 6-8 p.m., where participants order food and drinks from the regular menu and receive secret clues upon arrival, making everyone a suspect.

JANUARY 17

* CONCERT IN THE CAVE: Enjoy an underground concert at Cave Without a Name, 325 Kreutzberg Road, Boerne, as The Woodland Winds present “Quintessential Classics,”featuring woodwind masterworks.
