Boerne High kicked off its 2026 girls soccer season by playing in the Northside Tournament last week and went 3-0, while not giving up a goal in the process.
BHS topped TMI – Episcopal, 6-0, mashed Marshall, 6-0, and handled Harlan, 2-0.
Boerne head coach Jeremy Shannon said the tournament doesn’t have any all-tournament selections.
The Lady Greyhounds are 3-0 and are entered in the Georgetown tournament this weekend and are scheduled to face East View, Highland Park and Grapevine before opening district play on Tuesday at Wagner.
Boerne was ranked No. 18 in the first poll released by the Texas Girls Coaches Association.
Against TMI, Bella Pettet tallied 3 goals, while Eliana Bove, Mahaley Merkens and Sophia Namvar netted single goals.
Merkens and Namvar finished with assists as well.
Against Marshall, Mahaley Merkens and Bella Pettet both netted 2 goals each, while Eliana Bove and Sophia Namvar knocked in single goals.
Molly Miller recorded an assist.
Against Harlan, Ocean Valenciano and Peyton Tilley both knocked in single goals and Mahaley Merkens recorded an assist.
