The Geneva School of Boerne girls returned to the basketball court for 2026 and have played two district games since the start of the new year.
Geneva hosted a pair of Corpus Christi schools and dropped games to John Paul II and Incarnate Word.
The Lady Eagles fell to JP II last Friday, 30-28, and also were clipped by the Angels of Incarnate Word on Tuesday, 45-22.
Geneva is 6-16 overall and 2-2 in district.
Vs. John Paul II
Payton Boles led the team with 11 points, while Reese Smith added 7 in their 30-28 setback. Sopris Oglesby and Lexi Oglesby both netted 3, while Gracyn Miller and Carlyle Harden tallied 2 points each.
Sopris Oglesby collected 10 rebounds, 4 blocks and 3 steals, Miller and Harden pulled down 9 boards apiece and Boles snagged 8 rebounds. Smith came up with 6 steals and Boles had 4 steals.
Vs. Incarnate Word
The Eagles had a hard time getting their offense going and only tallied 22 points in a 45-22 setback.
IWA was up 6-4 at the end of the first quarter and then hit in double digits the rest of the way with 14, 11 and 14 points. Geneva’s best scoring quarter came in the third when they tallied 9.
Sopris Ogelsby led the Eagles with 13 points and 10 rebounds to finish with a double-double, while Payton Boles and Amelia Morgan both netted 3. Gaby Medrano had 2 and Carlyle Harden made a free throw.
