The Comfort Deer opened district action last Friday night by picking up a road win at Florence.
It turned into a close game as the Comfort girls held off a strong Lady Buffs finish to record the 30-28 victory.
Comfort starts district at 1-0 and improved to 6-11 this season. The Deer hosted Blanco on Tuesday and visit Ingram on Friday as they continue league play.
