BISD football players in All-Star game

Three Boerne ISD athletes played in the San Antonio Sports All-Star Football Game and were part of the winning team.

Boerne Champion’s Brogan Dempsey, along with Boerne High’s Eli Nikolas and Blake Burkholder, helped Team Blue defeat Team White last Saturday in the Alamodome, 26-18. Dempsey and Nikolas were wide receivers in the game, and Burkholder played defense and special teams for the Blue squad.

Team Blue went up 26-3 before a couple of late scores by Team White.

Last Saturday’s game featured 118 seniors from the greater San Antonio area representing 68 high schools. Team Blue was coached by Johnson’s TP Miller and Team White was coached by Southwest’s Alex Franco.
