The Boerne Champion swim team was entered in the recent SAISD Invite where the boys were first with 174.5 points and the Lady Chargers were second with 107 points.
Champion was also entered in another SAISD meet as a final tune up before their district meet on Friday, Jan. 23, at the Southwest ISD Aquatic Center.

Varsity Girls
In the 200-yard medley relay, Addison Homann, Breanna Hempton, Marlowe Cooper and Rebecca Conrad were 2nd at 2:14, while a second Charger squad of Lila Akin, Elena Duran, Aubree Casto and Ava Story was 5th in 2:24 Elena Duran was 2nd in the 200 free with a 2:29; Breanna Hempton won the 50 free after posting a 29.63, while Rebecca Conrad, Addison Homann and Marlowe Cooper went 3-4-5 with times of 30.62, 30.77 and 30.93. In another 50 race, Aubree Casto came in 4th in 31.08.
Marlowe Cooper placed 3rd in the 100 butterfly with a 1:19, Addison Homann and Breanna Hempton were 2nd and 3rd in the 100 free with times of 1:03 and 1:04, while Lila Akin was 3rd in another 100 free race after posting a 1:11.
Champion had two entries finish in the top 3 of the girls 200-free relay after Hempton, Homann, Cooper and Story teamed up for 2nd with a 2:01, while Conrad, Casto, Akin and Duran combined for 3rd with a 2:05.
Also, Rebecca Conrad placed 4th in the 100 backstroke with a 1:22
Varsity Boys
In the boys 200-medley relay, the Charger team of Luke Bove, Jackson Hankins, Marcelo Garcia and Julius Hoxhaj took 1st with a 1:48.
Baylor Slay finished 3rd in the 200 freestyle after clocking in at 2:21, Marcelo Garcia placed 2nd in the 200-yard IM after posting a 2:15, while Juan Nieto and Grant Perkins went 4-5 with times of 2:31 and 2:32.
Julius Hoxhaj won the 50 free with a time of 24.37, Luke Bove came in 2nd at 24.38, Nash Belson was 5th in 25.74 and Jackson Hankins placed 6th in 26.07. In another 50 race, Finn Poole took 1st in 25.34, Erik Skoog was 3rd in 26.19, Levi Wood came in 4th at 26.78, Vance Lander finished 5th in 27.07 and Gunnar Knell was 6th in 27.44.
Luke Bove came in 2nd in the 100 free with a time of 53.60, while Finn Poole won another 100 race in 58.91, Levi Wood was 3rd in 1:02 and Jorge Almaguer placed 5th with a 1:03.
Marcelo Garcia won the 100 butterfly with a time of 57.22, Nash Belson was 2nd in 1:00 and Grant Perkins tied for 5th at 1:07.78, while Austen Lange won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:36.
The Chargers had two relays place in the top 3 of the 200-freestyle relay after Garcia, Hoxhaj, Bove and Romero teamed up for 1st with a 1:37, while Skoog, Hankins, Belson and Perkins were 3rd after combining for a 1:42.
Juan Nieto won the 100 back with a 1:06, Austen Lange won the 100 breaststroke in 1:10 and Lucas Romero was 4th with a 1:15.
