BISD coaches and athletes honored by Texas High School Coaches Association

Several Boerne ISD athletes and coaches were recently honored by the Texas High School Coaches Association.

For the Greyhounds, Boerne High’s Aidan Cebe and Gavin Cebe were both named to the THSCA 2025-26 Team Tennis Super Elite Team.

For Champion, Charger water polo head coach Scott Slay was named the Region 8 Boys 6A Coach of the Year and his assistant Mike Gillette was named the Region 8 Boys 6A Assistant Coach of the Year.

Also, for Champion, Sheila West was named the Region 8 5A Girls Coach of the Year in cross country for the 2025 season.
