THE BOOKWORM KWORM

New schedule for Bubbletime Bookworms

Calling all families with babies and toddlers: Beginning next month, Bubbletime Bookworms Storytime will move to 10 a.m. on Thursdays and Fridays. If you haven’t joined us yet, now is the perfect time to hop in on the fun.

Bubbletime Bookworms is a wonderful opportunity to meet other families with little ones while introducing your baby or toddler to songs, stories and early literacy skills.

After storytime, stick around for a delightful bubble show, followed by a relaxed stay-and-play time, where kids can explore and parents can connect.

Build-A-Book selection

What does a bearded dragon do once the lights go out? Elementary school children are invited to find out at “Build-A-Book: Bearded Dragon After Dark” at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2.

During this creative and collaborative program, kids will work together to create a picture book starring Hans the Bearded Dragon and his mischievous nighttime adventures.

Hans, a pet bearded dragon, will be present to view for inspiration. Each child will illustrate their own page of the story, adding their imagination to a shared tale full of after-hours fun.

By the end of the program, participants will have created a one-of-a-kind book. We will bind it and kids can come back to check out their finished work.

Valentine’s Day storytime

Celebrate the season of love with a special Valentine’s-themed storytime at the Herff Farmer’s Market Vintage Farmhouse at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14. Enjoy a seasonal story, sing along to cheerful songs and get creative with a fun Valentine’s Day craft. Don’t miss this chance to share the joy of the holiday in a cozy, rustic setting.

Chinese New Year celebration

On Saturday, Feb. 28 at 10:30 a.m., the Patrick Heath Public Library invites you to a spectacular celebration of culture and tradition as we ring in the Chinese New Year with a vibrant performance by the Chinese Culture Performance Association of San Antonio.

Immerse yourself in the rich heritage of this centuries-old festival as talented dancers, adorned in dazzling hand-crafted silk costumes, bring traditional Chinese dances to life.

Don’t miss this chance to celebrate and discover the beauty of Chinese culture right here in our community.
