Comfort basketball teams at Brady

Comfort High was at Brady for girls and boys basketball action Friday night.

The Bobcats won their district game over the Bulldogs, while the Deer lost their contest against the Lady Bulldogs.

Both Comfort teams hosted Florence this week and will visit Blanco on Friday for doubleheader action against their rivals.

Varsity Boys

Comfort cruised to a 70-48 win over the Bulldogs and stayed perfect in the district at 3-0 and improved to 18-8 overall.

After hosting Florence, they’ll visit Blanco on Friday to close out the first round of district. If both Comfort and Blanco won Tuesday, first place will be on the line Friday because Blanco and Comfort are 3-0 entering the week and are the only undefeated teams left in the district.

Varsity Girls

The Deer slipped to 1-4 in district after they fell to the Lady Bulldogs, 37-26.

Comfort is 4-14 overall and closed out the first round of district with last Friday’s game.

A playoff spot is still possible for the Deer because Blanco (3-2) and Brady (2-3) are within reach even though Comfort is 1-4 with five games left. They are all chasing Llano (5-0) and Ingram (4-1).
