Comfort basketball teams are tough on Buffs

The varsity basketball teams from Comfort hosted the Florence Buffaloes on Tuesday, and the Deer and the Bobcats were able to stuff the Buffs.

Comfort was at Blanco on Friday and hosted Ingram on Tuesday.

Varsity Boys

The Bobcats took care of Florence on Tuesday, 75-42, and bumped its district mark to 4-0 (19-8 overall).

Comfort visited Blanco on Friday with first place on the line in 5-3A (Region I). Both the Bobcats and Panthers won Tuesday and entered Friday’s contest at 4-0.

The Cats open the second round Tuesday by hosting Ingram.

Varsity Girls

Comfort defeated the Lady Buffaloes, 52-26, and swept Florence this year for their two district wins.

The Deer are 2-4 in district (5-14 overall).

After playing Blanco and Ingram, Comfort has Llano and Brady left on the schedule. Comfort and Brady are tied for fourth at 2-4, but the Bulldogs beat the Deer in the first round, so Comfort must beat them in the second round to split their series.
