Class descriptions for upcoming February follow, as does a sneak preview of classes scheduled for March.
Feb. 10: Punch needle.
Delve into fiber arts with an evening focused on a primitive art form somewhere between embroidery and rug hooking.
Work with various yarns of color, texture, and content. Discover the simple process of creating loops to construct a design and apply a backing for a complete project.
Feb. 17: Alcohol ink painting. Repeating instruction in one of our most popular media, we will work with highly pigmented alcohol-based ink.
The bold colors and metallic hues bond to nonporous surfaces. Learn how to use brushes, blending solutions, and masks to apply the inks to an object for a stunning keepsake.
Add a whimsical saying and watch your creation be the next viral sensation.
Feb. 24: Whimsy wire wrapping. Join us in making a fanciful element for your home or garden. We will venture into wire wrapping and fabrication with beads to design whimsical decor. We use professional jeweler’s tools bending, coiling and weaving wire around on itself while capturing beads and stone elements.
