Lady Chargers host Wagner on Senior Night

In its final home game of the 2025-26 season, the Boerne Champion girls basketball team hosted No. 1 state-ranked Wagner.

The Lady Thunderbirds haven’t lost a game all year and remained undefeated (31-0) after they beat the Lady Chargers, 90-29.

Champion slips to 4-11 in 26-5A and 12-22 overall. The Chargers closed out the regular season Tuesday at Kerrville Tivy.

Before last Friday’s game, the seniors were honored. They are Lorena Barreiro, Elizabeth Anderson, Jenna Koepke, Saoirse Ray, Sage Ramsey and Kam Edwards.

Wagner was up 18-5 at the end of the first quarter and took a 42-13 lead into halftime after outscoring the Chargers in the second stanza, 24-8.

Wagner kept pushing the tempo and tallied 48 in the second half, while Champion dropped in 16.

Sage Ramsey led the Chargers with 12 points, Jenna Koepke added 7, Brielle Burdick scored 4, Kylie Baum added 3, Saoirse Ray finished with 2 and Lorena Barreiro hit a free throw.
