The Boerne High softball team played in the Uvalde Tournament last weekend and posted a 4-0 record at the event as their defense only surrendered one run all weekend, while their offense tallied 21 runs.
Boerne and Veterans Memorial advanced to the championship game but decided not to play against each other since they are in the same district.
BHS remains undefeated this year and improves to 5-0 (1-0 in 26-5A). They resumed district action Tuesday at home against Kerrville Tivy. Boerne is entered in the Edgewood tourney this weekend.
The Lady Hounds opened the tourney with a 6-1 win over Jourdanton and then defeated Palmview, 1-0.
Riley Partin hit a two-out single in the first inning and scored on the Addison Reidy single for the only run of the game.
On Friday, Boerne run ruled Carrizo Springs, 11-0, and scored all 11 runs in two innings. The Lady Hounds didn’t return on Saturday but closed out Friday with a 3-0 victory over Hondo.
