Boerne High began second-round soccer action last Friday against Wagner and picked up a pair of wins.
The Lady Hounds hosted the Thunderbirds and kicked in the mercy rule, while the BHS boys won a close one at Wagner.
Boerne played Kerrville Tivy Tuesday and faces Veterans Memorial Friday.
Varsity Girls
Boerne High scored early and often on Friday and recorded the 10-0 win and improved to 5-3-1 in district (9-5-1 overall).
BHS was at Kerrville on Tuesday and hosts the Patriots Friday.
Several players had multiple goals after Bella Pettet goal tallied 3 goals, while Mahaley Merkens and Peyton Tilley recorded 2 goals apiece.
Sophia Namvar goal, Sadie Parker and Catherine Hiner added single goals as well.
Pettet, Merkens, Eliana Bove, Ocean Valenciano and Sadie Parker finished with assists as well.
Varsity Boys
After a big win in the first round against Wagner (7-2), the Greyhounds had a little tougher time vs. the Thunderbirds last Friday but still won, and a win is a win.
Only one goal was scored in the match and it belonged to the Greyhounds after they won, 1-0.
The Greyhounds improved to 6-2-1 in district (8-3-1 overall) and snapped their two-game district skid.
Boerne’s only goal came from Shane Garcia on the assist from Shae Gonzales. BHS had other chances and even hit the post on one attempt but only scored once in the match.
