The high school baseball season starts this week for the three UIL teams in Kendall County, while Geneva School of Boerne already has a few games under their belt.
Champion and Boerne High began district play with their 26-5A openers on Tuesday. The Chargers were at Veterans Memorial and the Greyhounds were at Wagner.
After that, both Boerne ISD teams are entered in the Northside Tournament this weekend before resuming district action next week.
Comfort High opened its season at home on Monday and whipped up on the La Pryor Bulldogs, 12-1, in five innings.
The Bobcats finished with 10 hits and three different pitchers combined for a no-hitter.
Geneva is 3-0 and has beaten the New Braunfels Thunder, 17-6, defeated Saint Mary’s Hall, 16-11, and shut out Allegiance, 8-0.
The Eagles were back at it Tuesday at Lutheran High School before playing in the Center Point tourney this weekend.
