FIRST ROUND PLAYOFFS Comfort vs. Sweetwater at San Saba, Tuesday, 7 p.m.
Comfort played much better in its second-round district game against Blanco, but the Panthers were still able to defeat the Bobcats.
Blanco wrapped up the district title with its 71-51 win Tuesday in Comfort. The Panthers finished league play at 10-0, while Comfort is second at 8-2. Ingram Moore (5-5) and Brady (4-6) also qualified for the playoffs.
Comfort (23-8 overall) faces Sweetwater (11-16) Tuesday in the opening round of the 3A-DII playoffs in San Saba, 7 p.m.
Sweetwater was the fourth-place team in their district behind Wall, Clyde and Jim Ned.
In Comfort’s first-round meeting with Blanco, the Panthers won by 49 points (70-21), but this time the margin of victory was only 20 points.
A Bobcat win would have given them a share of the district title with Blanco.
