Boerne High opened its track and field season at the Champion Relays held at BISD Stadium.
In the final team standings, the BHS boys were 2nd with 107 points and the Lady Hounds tallied 96 points for 3rd.
BHS was back at the stadium Thursday for another meet that they hosted.
Varsity Girls (top 6)
Prisca Igbo won the 100 hurdles (15.91) and came in 2nd in the 300 hurdles (48.19), while Presley Merkens took 2nd in the 800 (2:17), Sutton Amerman was one spot back in 3rd (2:18) and Ansley Schiller came in 6th in the 3200 (12:05).
The 4x400 relay finished 2nd (4:11), the 4x100 relay came in 4th (51.52) and the 4x200 relay was 4th (1:53).
In field events, Bonnie Johnson threw the shot put 30-5.5 for 4th and Johnson also placed 6th in the discus (75-5).
Mckeehan Smith took 3rd in the pole vault (8-0) and Kamber Velvick was 5th (5-6).
Mallory Miles and Maci Wells tied for 2nd in the high jump after both cleared 5-0 and Bella Pettet finished 4th in the long jump (16-1.50).
Varsity Boys (top 6)
The 4x100 relay placed 3rd (44.50) and the 4x200 finished 3rd (1:35).
William Freeman won the 200 dash (22.96) and Freeman also finished 2nd in the 100 (11.31).
Aaron Garcia took 2nd in the 3200 (9:51), Barrett Crofut finished 2nd in the 400 (52.13) and Garcia came in 4th in the 1600 (4:31).
Dominic Sanchez captured 1st in the 300 hurdles (44.05) and Logan Papia was 4th (44.96).
Noah Blomqvist won the shot put (50-7), while Cash Gatlin and Zayden Biela went 3-4 in the shot after Gatlin had a throw of 45-10.5 and Biela finished with a 43-7.5.
Blomqvist also won the discus (154-10), while Galvan Chase took 6th in the long jump (18-6.5).
