Boerne man gets
40
years in child porn case
A Boerne 18-wheeler driver accused of possessing hundreds of images of child pornography including toddlers has been sentenced to 40 years in prison, prosecutors said.
Toby Leer Beaumont, 51, entered a guilty plea to possession of child pornography involving more than 500 images, a first-degree felony, District Attorney Nicole Bishop said Friday.
Beaumont was sentenced by 451st state District Court Judge Kirsten Cohoon.
Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Amanda Meyer and Kendall County Adult Probation Officer Mario Paredes testified in the case and reviewed a pre-sentence investigative report, officials said. Following the review, Cohoon imposed the 40-year prison term.
The investigation began in June 2024 after the Sheriff’s Office received a tip about a man viewing child pornography.
Meyer and sheriff’s Investigator Kassandra Ramirez conducted interviews and served search warrants at the defendant’s residence and the 18-wheeler rig he operated as an over-the-road truck driver, prosecutors said.
During the interviews, the man said he had a long-standing addiction and had been viewing child pornography for at least 10 years.
Forensic evidence uncovered by the state found files depicting children as young as toddlers that were located across several electronic devices, court records indicate.
Assistant Criminal District Attorney Andrew Fields prosecuted the case, officials said.
