The Boerne High softball team posted a perfect 5-0 record at the Edgewood ISD Tournament last weekend to take first place at the event.
Boerne’s five wins bumped their record to 10-1 this season. The Lady Greyhounds resumed district play this week and were at Veterans Memorial Tuesday and host Smithson Valley on Friday.
At the tourney, Boerne opened with an 8-2 win over John Jay and later that day, the BHS girls defeated Saint Mary’s Hall, 4-1.
On Friday, the Lady Hounds run ruled an overmatched Lanier team, 12-0, in just three innings.
BHS returned on Saturday and picked up another run-rule victory, this time over Kennedy, 12-1, in four innings behind 9 hits.
In its final game, the Lady Hounds closed out the tourney with a 7-2 win over San Antonio Christian.
