Geneva soccer teams roll to district titles and first-round playoff wins

It’s been a good year for the Geneva School of Boerne varsity soccer teams after both secured district titles in boys and girls action and won their home playoff matches.

Varsity Girls

After a first-round bye, the Geneva girls beat Waco’s Live Oak Classical last Friday at home, 6-0. They’ll play the winner of the San Juan Diego vs. Providence Classical School match up in the third round.

Prior to that, the Geneva girls closed out the regular season by defeating Corpus Christi John Paul II on Monday, 9-0.

Geneva is 14-5-4 overall after Friday’s win, and they went 8-1-1 in district, just ahead of NBCA (8-2).

Varsity Boys

The boys also had a first-round bye and opened the playoffs Monday at home against Brazos Christian – Bryan and won a tight contest, 2-0. They’ll play New Braunfels Christian Academy next.

The Geneva boys closed out the regular season with a 9-0 win over Castle Hills last week. The Eagles are 9-1-2 overall and ran the table in district to finish with a perfect record of 8-0 and didn’t give up a goal in league action.
