Boerne Champion was at the Greyhound Relays held at Boerne ISD Stadium last week.
The Champion girls tallied 154 points to win it, while the Champion boys scored 93.50 points to come in 2nd behind Smithson Valley (173). The Chargers were at the Southwest meet on Thursday.
RESULTS (top 6) Varsity Boys
Brogan Dempsey won the 100 (10.90) and Zachary Garcia placed 6th (11.16), while Hayden Fridley (22.68) and Juan Nava (22.72) went 4-5 in the 200.
Zach Smith took 3rd in the 400 (52.65) and Colten Cain was 6th (53.42), while Sebastian Carvallo came in 6th in the 800 (2:00) and Shawn Edwards was 6th in the 1600 (4:29).
Noah Moreno placed 4th in the 3200 (10:09) and Mason Nelson was 6th (10:12).
Landon Siwek came in 6th in the 110 hurdles (16.65) and was 4th in the 300 hurdles (42.93).
The 4x100 placed 3rd
(42.84), the 4x200 captured
1st (1:28) and the 4x400 finished 3rd (3:27). In field events, Jaxon Barnes finished 4th in the high jump
(6-0), Ryder Flugence came in 5th in the triple jump (41-1) and Blake Stehling took 2nd in the shot put (52-3).
Varsity Girls
Juliana Syroney won the
100 (12.11) and took 1st in the 200 (24.77), while Mikayla Green was 2nd in the 200 (26.30).
Payton Kidding captured 1st in the 1600 (5:13), Rebecca Bezerra was 4th (5:16) and Emma Radtke placed 6th
(5:17), while Radtke also finished 4th in the 800 (2:21).
Bezerra took 2nd in the
3200 (11:32) and Luciana Zazueta Ibarra came in 6th in the race (11:51).
Addison Davis finished
4th in the 100 hurdles (16.93) and Aleah Ramirez was 6th
(17.97), while Davis placed
3rd in the 300 hurdles (49.09) and Maelee Mares was one spot back in 4th (49.48).
The girls 4x100 relay took
1st (48.87), the 4x200 was also 1st (1:46) and the 4x400 came in 3rd (4:08).
In field events, Maelee Mares placed 3rd in the high jump (5-2), Cassidy Breuer was 3rd in the long jump (16--
0.5) and Bryn Colvin came in
5th (15-1.25).
Breuer also pointed in the triple jump after she was 2nd
(34-0) and Mares finished 6th in the event (31-11), while Lorena Barreiro-Bidot came in
2nd in the shot put (31-2.25).
