CELEBRATING THE ARTS G ART PAULA HORNER

HCCA PRESIDENT

Every third Saturday of the month, weather permitting, HCCA Cinema hosts a free outdoor movie night for the Boerne community. Grab a blanket, bring family and friends, and enjoy a curated film under the stars.

These screenings are relaxed, fun and perfect for a night out in the Hill Country. “Singin’ in the Rain” the 1952 classic starring Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds, is the featured film, March 21.

This is a timeless Hollywood musical directed by Kelly and Stanley Donen and filled with unforgettable songs, dance numbers and cinema magic.

Another element offered through HCCA Cinema is designed to bring the art of film to our community. The stated purpose of this initiative is to provide opportunities for artists, filmmakers and performers of all ages to showcase their work, connect with audiences, and celebrate storytelling through cinema.

Whether you are a high school student exploring filmmaking, an independent filmmaker or a community member who loves movies, we encourage you to become involved with HCCA Cinema.

Through careful selection, screenings, festivals and movie nights, we will provide a platform that celebrates film, community and creativity. HCCA Cinema will present its premiere Spring Film Festival, Saturday, May 2, on the grounds of The AgriCultural Museum and Arts Center.

We welcome old and new film projects and accept submissions from all age groups. Filmmakers, do not miss out. Submissions due no later than April 12, 2026. Artists and Vendors can apply for booth space. Festival details can be accessed at www.hccarts.org.

HCCArts is grateful to Heather Bateman, Before Your Eyes Interiors, for her generous gift of equipment, enhancing opportunities provided HCCA Cinema in celebrating the art of film.
