Both Geneva School of Boerne soccer teams will play at the TAPPS state tournament this week in Round Rock.
The Lady Eagles (15-54) played Tuesday against district foe Schertz John Paul II (19-7-2) at 3 p.m.
Geneva went 0-1-1 in district play vs. JP II with a 0-0 tie and a 1-0 loss, but the Eagles won the district title with a better record (81-1 vs. 8-2).
Tuesday’s winner plays the winner of the McKinney Christian Academy and The Covenant School – Dallas match Wednesday for the state title, 2:30 p.m.
Varsity Boys
The Geneva boys (10--1-2) tangle with British International School of Houston (12-1) Thursday at 3 p.m.
Both schools went undefeated in district play at 8-0.
Thursday’s winner plays the winner of the Hill Country Christian High School – Austin vs. The Covenant School – Dallas match for the state title Friday, 2:30 p.m.
