Champion played two district games this week and split the two after they lost to New Braunfels but beat Wagner.
The Chargers are 3-4 in district (8-6 overall) and are off until Tuesday when they host Kerrville Tivy.

Vs. New Braunfels Boerne held a tworun lead over New Braunfels, fell behind and tried to rally late, but the Chargers came up short Monday at New Braunfels, 5-4.
The Chargers hit the ball well on Monday and outhit the Unicorns, 9-7, but they committed 5 errors, which helped NB to score 3 unearned runs.
At one point, the Chargers were up 3-1 after scoring single runs from the second through fourth frames, but the Unicorns answered with four runs from the second through the sixth innings to pull ahead 5-3 going into the last inning.
Champion managed to load the bases with one out after Torin Tucker and McKenzie Wilson reached on a fielder’s choice and Mylie Parker singled.
Brylyn Thornburgh brought in a run with a sac fly to center for the second out to score Tucker from third and make it 5-4. The tying run was at second, and the go-ahead run was at first, but NB pitcher Cecilia De Los Santos struck out the next batter to end it.
Parker continues to swing the bat well and finished with an RBI double and a single, while Cora Cude doubled and singled as well.
Thornburgh, Reese Rogers, Emily Thomas, Anna Hurst and Mikaela Baxter all singled, while Baxter, Rogers, Thornburgh and Tucker all scored.
Parker gave up 7 hits from the circle, 2 earned runs, 1 walk and struck out 9.
