The Boerne Champion football team had 21 players named all-district in 13-5A DI after their performances in 2025.
Senior Brogan Dempsey landed on the list three times and freshman Ryder Flugence was on there twice.
Dempsey was the 13-5A DI Offensive MVP, was a unanimous first-team wide receiver and the second-team special teams returner, while Flugence was the 13-5A DI Offensive Newcomer and the first-team utility defensive player.
Walker Affeldt was the only other first-team selection for the Chargers after he was voted to the first team as an offensive lineman.
Julian Navarrete was a second- team quarterback, Caleb Farias was a second-team running back, Zachary Lopez was a second-team wide receiver and Owen Thornton was a second-team tight end. Defensively, Roman Flugence was a second-team linebacker, Ethan Jensen was a second-team outside linebacker, Brady Giles was a second-team defensive end, Hudson Thrash was a second-team defensive tackle, Brooks Warrick was a second-team cornerback and Owen Kuhl was a second- team safety.
Honorable mention selections for Champion include Zachary Garcia, Jackson Boehme, Owen Hollingsworth, Jaxson Marquard, Inaki Colsa, Jayden Davis, Seth Wood and Cade Vick.
The Chargers finished the year at 9-4 and went 5-2 in district to place third behind New Braunfels and eventual state champ Smithson Valley. Champion advanced to the third round of the playoffs and played on Thanksgiving weekend before falling to district foe New Braunfels.
