SISTERDALE — Two people were injured Tuesday morning when a helicopter crashed on private property in Kendall County, authorities said.
The Texas Department of Public Safety reported troopers responded around 11 a.m. to the crash at Headwaters Ranch, located at 8333 RM 1376. Preliminary reports indicate the helicopter struck a tree before going down.
The pilot was airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio. A passenger was taken by ground ambulance to Methodist Hill Country Memorial Hospital. Officials have not released details on the severity of their injuries.
The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified and will lead the investigation. The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and local fire and EMS personnel assisted at the scene.
Officials said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
