12 BISD girls basketball players named all-district
A total of 12 Boerne ISD girls basketball players – 8 from Boerne High and 4 from Champion – were named to one of the 26-5A All-District teams after their performances in the 2025-26 season.
Boerne High’s Sutherlin Menn was the only BISD athlete to earn a superlative after the freshman was named the 26-5A Newcomer of the Year.
Greyhound sophomore Addison Saur and junior Addison Palluch were firstteam selections, while junior Hartlee Menn and sophomore Melia Gonzaez were second- team picks. Sophomore Shaylee Allen, freshman Addison Neal and senior Oleyvia Ramos were named honorable mention.
Champion senior Sage Ramsey and sophomore Brielle Burdick were named to the 26-5A second team, while senior Jenna Koepke and senior Lorena Barreiro-Bidot both landed on the honorable mention team.
BHS finished second in the 26-5A standings and went 14-2 in 26-5A (26-8 overall) under coach Amy Ruede. The Lady Hounds faced Cedar Park in the opening round and were defeated for the second year in a row by the Timberwolves.
Champion ended the year at 4-12 in district (12-23) and the district is expected to announce a new coach at Monday’s schoolboard meeting.
Former Chargers coach Jason Sanders has 299 career wins under his belt.
