The Boerne High baseball team swept New Braunfels this week and clinched a playoff spot.
The Greyhounds wrapped up a postseason berth with Friday's 3-0 win over the Unicorns in San Antonio at Harlandale.
BHS's defense played well. After New Braunfels loaded the bases twice, once with no outs, the Greyhounds got out of both jams without giving up a run. In the seventh the Greyhounds turned a double play to end it with a catch in the outfield and a play at the plate where the Unicorns runner was tagged out after he attempted to tag.
Boerne Champion
Champion defeated Kerrville Tivy on Friday and won this year's district 26-5A title.
The Chargers won 5-2 and finish district at 13-3. They'll open the playoffs next week.
