EDC names board directors

New directors are taking their seats with the Boerne Kendall County Economic Development Corp., officials said.

The appointments were announced during an annual members luncheon recently held at Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort. More than 75 people attended.

Dakota Durden of GRIT Co. will serve as board chair; Caleb Clark of Edward Jones is vice chairman; Tony Trevino of Vantage Bank is treasurer; Chuck Gregory of Terracon is secretary; and Phil Hunke of Hill Country Square was named past chairman.

At-large members are Charity Huber of BEC and Phillip Quintanilla of WS & P Insurance.

The luncheon featured Texas Department of Transportation Commissioner Alex Meade as the keynote speaker.

EDC President/ CEO Amy Story gave an update about positioning Kendall County for “sustainable, high-quality” economic growth, according to a release.

The EDC is a public- private nonprofit geared “to promote business opportunities that will strengthen and grow a vibrant and diverse economic future for Kendall County,” the release stated.
