Water polo teams get in final scrimmages before opening season this week

The two Boerne ISD water polo programs had their final tune ups before starting the regular season that opens this week.

Champion hosted Alamo Heights at Westlake on Friday at the newly opened Boerne ISD Aquatics Center, while Boerne High was at the Camp Moody YMCA for scrimmages against Buda Johnson and Kyle Lehman.

Both open the regular season this week. The Greyhounds host O’Connor on Thursday, while Champion is in the Northside Waterpolopalooza tourney that is being held Thursday through Saturday in San Antonio.
