The start of the high school football season is inching closer and area football teams – including Comfort, Champion and Boerne High – held intrasquad scrimmages last Saturday. Teams will scrimmage against other teams this week.
On Thursday, Comfort is at Marion and Boerne is home against La Vernia. On Friday, Geneva School of Boerne visits Brentwood and Champion hosts New Braunfels at BISD Stadium.
After that, there is one more scrimmage and then it’s the start of the regular season during the last week of August.
