Comfort kicked off its 2026 volleyball season Tuesday night in San Antonio with a four-set win over the San Antonio Saints.
The Deer defeated the homeschool team, 25-18, 25-14, 18-25, 28-26.
Comfort starts the year at 1-0 and is scheduled to play in the Wimberley Tournament this weekend on Friday and Saturday.
The Deer will host Center Point and Bandera on Tuesday in a tri-match as each team will play against the other. Matches start at 4:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. After that, Comfort is in the Floresville tourney next weekend, Aug. 21-22.
Comfort has a new coach in Jennifer Lee, who has coached at seven different schools in three states over the last 20 years. She was last at Kempner in Sugar Land before coming to Comfort. Lee is a graduate of Texas State University.
