The Boerne High volleyball team looked sharp in Tuesday’s season opener at home against Stevens and swept the Lady Falcons at Greyhound Gym, 25-14, 25-10, 25-14.
BHS starts the year at 1-0 and is playing in the Northeast/Northside tournament this weekend in San Antonio.
Ava Seamans led the team with nine kills; Bella Pettet had six kills, while Layla Shanley and Riley Caldwell both finished with four kills apiece.
Kiley Coffland gave Stevens’ problems with her serve and dropped in six aces, while Caldwell had three aces. Coffland also came up with 12 digs, Lauren Magnus added 10 digs, Pettet recorded nine digs and Mallory Miles and Caldwell both tallied eight digs.
Seamans had a block to go with her nine kills and Magnus finished with 17 assists.
