John Crighton Fish

John Crighton Fish, 72, a former resident of Boerne, passed away on June 25, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri. He was born on April 18, 1954, in Kerrville, TX, to the late Harry (Alex) and Margaret (Margie) Fish. After graduating from Boerne High School in 1972, John attended Southwestern University. He then spent 19 years as the Sports Information Director for Southwestern.

John also worked in real estate as an agent and property manager in Austin, where he met and married Kelli Lee Lehmberg.

In 1989, John and Kelli moved to Boerne where John designed and built deer feeders. Eventually, John and Kelli relocated to the Twin Lakes region of northwest Arkansas. There, John pursued his passions for fishing, hunting whitetail deer, woodworking, and collecting Case pocket knives and Indian artifacts.

John is survived by his wife, Kelli; two stepsons, Scott and Mark Roach; sister Margaret Davies; nieces Jessica Davies and Beth Sanz; and nephew Jeremy Davies.

A brief Remembrance Ceremony will be held on August 26 at 11:30 at the Boerne Cemetery.
