A recent letter to the editor by longtime letter-writer Richard Caldwell was written to hinder, being political, not help. Win, regardless of the community he lives in. Not surprising, for a longtime local Democrat operative.
First, the Boerne Independent School District just reduced the property tax rate for the district. Second, Boerne ISD is or was considered a rich district and had to send local taxes to other districts.
Lastly, I do not hear the candidate running against Gov. Greg Abbott running on reducing property tax burdens.
The left increases property taxes to continue their mismanagement of tax revenues to grow the government, San Antonio being a recent example.
The majority of property owners know they pay too much in taxes, so maybe Mr. Caldwell needs to consider his vote and do the right thing for the community he lives in and vote for Abbott.
Vote for solutions, vote Republican. Vote to lower property taxes.
