It’s time for all Republican voters to answer the call and cast a ballot in this fall’s election.
Early voting begins Oct. 19, with Election Day on Nov. 3. Mail-in ballots are also available, a good option for many voters.
Sure, Kendall County is reliably Republican red. As a Texas governor once remarked to me privately, “I wish all of Texas was like Kendall County.” But our votes are crucial to offset the socialist votes in the big cities. So, be sure to cast your ballot. It’s critical.
And vote the whole ballot. It’s easy to see our great Republican candidates; after their name is (Rep.), and they are the first candidate listed for every race. In Kendall County, there is a contested race in Precinct 1, so help elect our outstanding Republican candidate there.
There are many statewide candidates who need our support, especially the judicial races. There are two federal races on the ballot, so let’s make sure they stay in Republican hands. Vote the whole ballot, for every candidate with (Rep.) after their name.
Keep in mind our conservative Republican value of election integrity. Then see what happened in New Jersey recently. Democrat Gov. Mikie Sherrill announced that a “software error” had added roughly 6,600 noncitizens to the voter list against their will. And 400 voted. So illegal voting is not a myth, and Republican diligence is crucial.
The risk of voter fraud is highest in local races with smaller numbers of ballots. In Kendall County, there have been local races decided by a single vote. Republicans will stand tall to defend the integrity of the election, to bolster public confidence, and signal that anybody who votes illegally can expect a visit from the police.
Vice President J.D. Vance has led a strong effort to eliminate government fraud. He recently announced that 760,000 ineligible enrollees in Obamacare would be removed from the program.
As it turns out, fraudsters were enrolling people without their consent.
Fraudsters collect fees, and the “insured” don’t even know they have an insurance policy. One company had 40 agents who generated tens of thousands of enrollments without any identification. We now know why enrollment in Obamacare doubled during the Biden administration.
To test the system, the Government Accountability Office submitted 24 Obamacare applications for fictitious individuals. The federal exchange approved 23 for government-funded coverage.
Those are our tax dollars, and Republicans are working hard to eliminate this fraud.
We are hearing a lot about “affordability” in this campaign. An important issue, for sure. So, let’s look at the strong migration trend in America, toward Republican states. Yes, people are voting with their feet, moving to states with lower taxes and lighter regulation.
They leave the climate policy utopia of California, where diesel fuel costs $8.40 per gallon. This is hardly “affordable.” According to the RAND Corporation, it costs on average 2.8 times as much to build an apartment in California than in Texas. And the Affordable Care Act has doubled healthcare costs in only 15 years. We want no part of those liberal, big government policies in the great state of Texas.
It’s up to us, we the people, to keep Kendall County in Republican hands, to keep every Texas statewide office in Republican hands, and to keep our United States representative and senator seats in Republican hands. That’s the best way to preserve our individual freedoms, lower our taxes, reduce regulations, keep the borders secure, stand up for election integrity, fight government fraud, and grow the economy for everyone.
The most important people in every election are not the ones in campaign commercials, the ones handing out brochures, or the polling companies. The most important people are going about their daily lives, earning a living, doing the best they can and stopping by to cast a ballot.
They have the ultimate power, and their decisions deliver the binding verdict in every race, delivered in secret, one ballot at a time.
Turnout will decide this election; we, the people, the Republican voters, will turn out to save Texas from the radical socialists.
I’ll see some of y’all at the polls on Election Day. Let’s git ‘r done!
Scott S. Kramer is former chairman of the Kendall County Republican Party.
