LAW ENFORCEMENT The following is a brief, partial recap of incidents reported by the Boerne Police Department and the Kendall County Sheriff ’s Office. General locations are listed rather than specific addresses. An arrest should not imply guilt or innocence, which will be decided in court at a later date. OCTOBER 4
8:21 a.m., 300 block of Schweppe Street – A caller reported an unknown male and female parked in front of her house this morning, came to the caller’s door, and wiggled the door handle. The male and female sat in their vehicle in front of the residence for another hour.
10:45 a.m., 200 block of Dawnridge Street – A neighbor reported a house’s back door had been open since the previous day. The neighbor said she suspected the house had been vacant for a month. Law enforcement did not find any criminal activity.
2:45 p.m., 400 block of West Bandera Road – A caller reported a woman with two children was standing on the side of the road, soliciting money. When law enforcement arrived, the woman left the location.
OCTOBER 5
12:04 a.m., 100 block of N. Wagon Wheel Drive – A male was reported to be intoxicated and attempting to obtain a firearm to kill someone. The caller said they were not letting him get a gun and that the male had driven away. Law enforcement located and detained the male.
12:08 a.m., 100 block of Menger Springs – A caller reported a male in the lobby of the establishment who was refusing to leave.
5:30 a.m., mile marker 543, W. I-10 – A caller reported their vehicle had spun out and was “as far off the road as possible.” Other individuals called in, as a total of three vehicles were involved in the accident. Luckily, no injuries were sustained.
8:04 a.m., at Stahl Street and Blanco Road – A two-vehicle accident occurred. There were initially no injuries reported but it was later discovered that an occupant has suffered head and arm injuries, resulting in a significant amount of blood loss. A tow truck and EMS were called.
11:04 a.m., 31000 block of W I-10 – A caller reported that his dually truck had been stolen in prior weeks.
OCTOBER 6
8:36 a.m., 900 block of N. Main St. – A caller reported a male walking toward the elementary school. The caller was concerned because they felt the caller was taking an abnormal route.
10:55 a.m., 1600 block of River Road – A caller reported a food truck kept parking on private property.
11:15 a.m., 1400 block of S. Main St. – A caller reported a woman screaming in a parking lot. The caller was unsure what the caller was screaming at. Law enforcement located and contacted the woman.
11:32 a.m., 400 block of W. Bandera Road – A caller reported a customer and assistant manager were yelling at each other. The dispute appeared to be about change after pumping gas.
5:23 p.m., on Adler Road at Serenity Drive – A caller reported a male was walking up and down the road, harassing people who were walking by.
10:08 p.m., 100 block of Mustang Run – A caller reported his children heard four gunshots, followed by a scream. The caller also said he heard a car alarm.
OCTOBER 7
12:46 a.m., 100 block of Shadow Knolls – A caller reported his car alarm had gone off twice in the previous 10 minutes. The caller said the vehicle’s dash monitor also recorded a theft had been attempted.
1:44 a.m., 10 block of City Park Road – Law enforcement found a running vehicle with a male and female sleeping inside.
2:40 a.m., 100 block of Gage Drive – A caller reported that while they were outside, they heard someone walk between their house and the neighbor’s house.
7:59 a.m., 100 block of Old San Antonio Road – A caller who was monitoring a website reported that someone was sexually texting a minor. The caller provided law enforcement with additional information about the incident.
8:59 a.m., 31000 block of W. I-10 – A manager reported a vehicle had been parked there for over three hours. The manager had spoken with the driver, who refused to leave. The driver ended up leaving prior to law enforcement’s arrival.
10:43 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main St. – An employee reported four juveniles who were wearing pajamas and misbehaving in the grocery store. Even though they had left the store, the juveniles were now wreaking havoc in the parking lot.
OCTOBER 8
12:19 a.m., 100 block of Herff Road – A caller reported an assault between a male and a female. The male said his girlfriend was intoxicated, assaulted the caller, and then hit the male’s vehicle. The female was detained and taken into custody.
11:07 a.m., 500 block of E. Blanco Road – A caller discovered he had a counterfeit bill when trying to pay for his morning breakfast tacos.
12:04 p.m., 100 block of Giverny – A caller was concerned about a social media post regarding a possible attack in San Antonio. The proper jurisdiction was notified.
1:41 p.m., Hunters Creek at Lauren Lane – A caller reported an unmarked white van was sitting in the same spot. The caller was worried based on past experiences with break-ins.
OCTOBER 9
5:12 a.m., 1100 block of River Road – A caller reported a number of items had been stolen from him. The very thorough caller made a list of the stolen items and a list of possible suspects.
7:31 a.m., San Antonio Road at Latimore Lane – A caller reported an injured cat in the road. Animal Control was contacted.
9:52 a.m., 200 block of Winding River – A caller was concerned about an individual who lived out-of-state and was attempting to purchase a vehicle from the caller. The caller was specifically concerned about the address of the potential buyer.
10:04 a.m., mile marker 540 W. I-10 – A caller reported that the previous day they had been run off the road and sustained significant damage to their vehicle.
1:01 p.m., mile marker 542 W. I-10 – A caller reported that a wheel had come off of an 18-wheeler and then hit the caller’s vehicle. Luckily, there were no injuries. However, oil was covering both lanes of the road and traffic was temporarily stopped as the oil was cleaned up.
10:10 p.m., 100 block of Abbeydell – A caller reported someone had tampered with a truck, triggering the vehicle alarm.
OCTOBER 10
1:32 a.m., 100 block of Gallant Fox – A caller reported five to six males, dressed in all black, pulling on car doors. The caller provided information on where the males were headed.
6:24 a.m., 100 block of Gallant Fox – In a possible connection to the earlier report, a caller reported that someone broke into her vehicle during the night.
6:24 a.m., 100 block of Gallant Fox – Another caller reported that her vehicle had been broken into during the night.
6:47 a.m., 100 block of Gallant Fox – A third caller reported their vehicle was broken into overnight.
11:11 a.m., 100 block of Gallant Fox – This caller reported her vehicle’s window had been smashed.
7:47 p.m., 1300 block of S. Main St. – A caller reported that someone followed the caller and then at a stoplight, the driver got out and struck the caller’s vehicle, leaving a dent.
KENDALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE OCTOBER 4
9:02 a.m., on Staudt Street – A caller was concerned after discovering an ex-spouse had taken money out of the joint bank account, going against court orders. The caller had been advised to document the matter with a police report.
10:58 a.m., 200 block of Waring Welfare Road – A caller reported that his package, containing a prescription for a controlled substance, had been stolen from his mailbox.
12:55 p.m., 29000 block of W. I-10 – A caller reported his skid steer was rented but was never returned.
2:25 p.m., 100 block of Clear Springs Road – A caller said a neighbor had told him a realtor was placing a “For Sale” sign on the caller’s property. The caller was unaware this was happening and called the number provided on the sign. When the caller began asking the realtor about the selling of the property, the realtor hung up the phone.
3:23 p.m., 100 block of S. Wagon Wheel Drive – A caller said while he was in the process of repossessing a vehicle, the owner of the vehicle came and damaged the caller’s tow truck.
8:00 p.m., mile marker 522 W. I-10 – Kendall County law enforcement assisted Kerr County tracking a stolen vehicle on the interstate.
OCTOBER 5
4:51 a.m., 100 block of Castle Rock – A resident reported a potential home burglary in progress. The resident said she was home alone when she began hearing noises from the kitchen. The caller also reported seeing a light outside on the patio, despite her not having anything there. Law enforcement did not find any criminal activity.
8:56 a.m., FM 474 at Dove Crest Drive – A driver passing by reported a vehicle in the ditch, with its hazard lights on. Emergency services came to the scene and found the vehicle unoccupied. A tow truck was called for the vehicle.
2:18 p.m., 8800 block of FM 1888 – A caller reported that he received a picture of his gate, where someone had cut the lock. The caller also was informed people had trespassed on the property.
4:45 p.m., 200 block of High Street – A caller reported that earlier in the week her nephew had gotten off the bus and was bruised with ripped pants. The caller added that he had been hit by an adult rider. The caller was directed to the school’s law enforcement.
6:32 p.m., Hwy 46 East at Cinco Lane – A caller reported seeing someone messing with mailboxes. The caller said the male was driving up, taking out the mail, and then only putting some mail back in the mailbox.
OCTOBER 6
12:05 p.m., 100 block of FM 474 – A caller reported she had negotiated a price for an item then the seller increased the price after obtaining the caller’s credit card information.
12:57 p.m., Rolling Acres Road/I-10 Access Road – A caller reported someone going through the mailboxes at the end of the road. The caller said their neighbor’s mail had been stolen. This was not the first time this had happened, the caller said it had been happening all week.
1:36 p.m., 200 block of Waring- Welfare Road – Two donkeys and miniature horses showed up at this caller’s house, uninvited.
1:44 p.m., mile marker 545 W. I-10 – Bexar County law enforcement called to advise eight males had been pulled over for a traffic stop and then ran away. Bexar County reported they were headed in the direction of Kendall County.
2:54 p.m., 200 block of Headwaters Ranch Road – A caller reported that someone had fraudulently joined one of his financial accounts and was taking money from the caller.
OCTOBER 7
12:29 a.m., 36000 block of E. I-10 – A caller reported a female was acting erratically and walking up and down the road. The caller said the female was not allowed in certain areas. Law enforcement contacted the female.
8:53 a.m., 100 block of Ranch Drive – A caller had the misfortune of trapping a skunk.
9:15 a.m., 100 block of Blue Ridge – A caller reported a male, who smelled strongly of alcohol, was yelling at a cashier. The male then reportedly left the location and began driving away.
10:47 a.m., 1100 block of FM 473 – A disgruntled caller reported a group of 15 bicyclists who the caller felt were intentionally blocking the road.
7:25 p.m., 37000 block of E. I-10 – A caller reported that someone had dumped two small dogs near the caller’s residence. The dogs did not have collars and the caller said they had fleas.
10:22 p.m., mile marker 524 E. I-10 – A caller reported a vehicle was tailgating them and then the driver flipped off the caller. The driver then flashed a firearm at the caller. Law enforcement located the other vehicle and a felony stop ensued.
OCTOBER 8
12:09 p.m., 38000 block of W. I-10 – Law enforcement requested assistance with a probable cause search. A female was then detained. EMS needed to come to the scene for a head injury.
4:25 p.m., mile marker 522 E. I-10 – Kerr County law enforcement reported a driver headed toward Kendall County that had waved a firearm at another caller.
5:23 p.m., 100 block of W. View Point Drive – A caller reported loud, vulgar music playing. Law enforcement came to the location and did not find any obscenely loud music playing.
6:44 p.m., 200 block of Upper Balcones Road – A single moped crash resulted in the driver needing EMS assistance. The driver did not have any broken bones but did suffer scrapes and cuts.
9:29 p.m., 100 block of Oak Dell – A caller reported her husband had seen a vehicle before he left the house. The vehicle had left when he did. When the caller’s husband had returned, he saw the vehicle a couple streets over. Law enforcement made contact with the vehicle.
OCTOBER 9
7:49 a.m., 100 block of W. Tapatio Drive – A caller reported finding a deer reported a deer that appeared to have been killed with a knife.
10:20 a.m., 200 block of Rio Colorado Drive – A male came into the KCSO lobby after his wife received a “disturbing call” from Boerne Police Department. Law enforcement explained to the male that the call was a scam.
10:33 a.m., 100 block of La Cima – A caller reported they were being harassed via phone and text message by an individual in the military.
10:53 a.m., 500 block of Roosevelt Ave. – A caller reported an injured raccoon on the side of the road. It was found that the raccoon had been shot.
12:30 p.m., 300 block of Zoeller Lane – A caller reported that someone dumped a jet ski on the caller’s property.
12:48 p.m., 600 block of FM 474 – A dozen goats were reported to be hovering dangerously close to the edge of the road.
8:51 p.m., 1500 block of S. Main St. – An employee was concerned about a white van that had driven behind the building multiple times.
10:02 p.m., on N. Hwy. 87 – A caller reported a male who was not supposed to be at the location.
OCTOBER 10
6:50 a.m., 200 block of Seventh St. – A caller reported a male was walking around the area, looking into vehicles. The caller was concerned because when they went to get in their vehicle, the male appeared to be standing near the vehicle but then the caller did not see or hear anyone. The caller added that it could have been a ghost.
8:13 a.m., 100 block of N. Wagon Wheel Drive – Filed under ‘odd thing stolen this week,’ a caller reported his trash can was stolen.
10:44 a.m., 100 block of Ten West Drive – A caller reported he had accidentally dropped off a toolbox and needed assistance with the retrieval. When the caller was looking to retrieve it, the owner threatened to shoot the caller.
10:57 a.m., 1000 block of N. School St. – A caller reported tools had been stolen during the night.
11:29 a.m., 200 block of W. View Point Drive – A caller reported her roof had been damaged by a tree company when two limbs fell on it.
3:10 p.m., 700 block of South Street – A caller reported a possibly intoxicated male was yelling racial obscenities. The caller provided law enforcement with information on where the male was headed.
