Chargers are Ram tough, defeat Marshall

The Boerne Champion boys basketball team hosted Northside Marshall Tuesday at Charger Gym and slammed the Rams, 71-25.

Champion improved to 6-2 overall and began play in the Border Olympics Hoopfest in Laredo this weekend.

In Tuesday’s game, Baeden Burdick knocked down a pair of 3s and led the team with 12 points, while Quinn Grable and Louis Hudspeth both netted 11. Hudspeth was 3 for 6 from the 3-point line as the Chargers hit 9 from long range.

Charlie Georgelos made a couple of 3s and tallied 9 points, Briggs Jones scored 7, Joshua Marquez and Mason netted 6 points apiece, Kristian Herrera had 5 and Cole Riha added 4 as nine Chargers scored in the game.

Georgelos also finished with 8 rebounds and 4 assists, Quinn Grable tallied 5 assists and 5 steals, while Jones and Hudspeth both came up with 3 steals.
