Boerne’s Averi Aaron (25) goes up against Canyon’s Sydnee Winfrey in the opening tip of the Boerne Lady Greyhounds’ Class 4A state semifinal game Friday in the Alamodome. Boerne pressed Canyon but was unable to come up with the victory in a 53-39 defeat.
