It's curtains for Boerne Performing Arts, calling it quits after '24 season

It's curtains for Boerne Performing Arts. The April 22 performance by the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain will be the last of the Boerne Performing Arts season — and the last ever for the organization.

In a March 26 letter addressed to its partners, BPA President Rick Pfaff states a sluggish economy, high inflation, lagging ticket sales and lingering effects of the pandemic as factors "that made continuing a volunteer, donor-based organization such as ours financially unsustainable."

The letter says BPA will cease operations following a grand finale holiday concert set for Dec. 12, 2024.
