Leachman sets new 5A records in 3200, 1600 at state meet

AUSTIN - Boerne Champion's Elizabeth Leachman set a new 5A record in the girls 3200 and 1600 at the state meet in Austin on Friday. The sophomore ran a 10:11.40 in the 3200 Friday morning and clocked in at 4:41.36 in the 1600 Friday night. Leachman also ran in the 800 where she placed fifth to earn 2 more team points.

The Lady Chargers finished tied for 6th in the final team standings with 22 points and Leachman collected all 22 points. She was also named the Athlete of the Meet.
