Boerne ISD water polo teams hit the water

Boerne ISD water polo teams hit the water

The Champion water polo teams made it a clean sweep Saturday after the Chargers boys and girls won their two matches against Marshall and Health Careers for a total of four wins last Saturday.

On the boys side, Champion defeated Marshall, 24-8, and then topped Health Careers, 19-8.

The Champion boys are 15-4 overall and 6-0 in district. They played Brandeis Monday. For more on that match, see this weekend’s Boerne Star.

Against the Rams, Grant Perkins scored 4 goals and Will Harrison had 3 goals. Against Health Careers, Will Harrison recorded 6 goals and Bexon Harrison had 4 goals.

For Bexon, it was his 100th goal this season.

In the girls matches, the Lady Chargers defeated Marshall, 12-4 and Health Careers, 17-8.

When the Boerne Champion girls played Marshall, Ana Metz tallied 4 goals against the Rams and added 6 goals against Health Careers, while Kora Skoog tallied 4 goals in the Health Careers match.

The Boerne High boys and girls water polo teams have played Health Careers, Brandeis and Clark in district matches the last few weeks.

The Boerne girls are 0-12 overall and 0-7 in district, while the boys are 1-6 in district and 1-11 overall.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to play Marshall on Saturday, a team the boys beat in their first-round meeting. The Greyhounds are also scheduled to tangle with Boerne Champion on Thursday, Sept. 26, at the city pool in Boerne.
