Following last week’s bye, the final stretch of the 2024 volleyball season began this week for Crestmont Christian Prep.
On Monday night the Warriors traveled to play the San Antonio Patriots in Schertz. Crestmont struggled from the first serve, losing in 2 straight sets, 25-15, 25-10. Sophomore Kristie Keller and freshman Savannah Head were bright spots behind the serving line, but the Patriots proved to be too much for the Warriors.
Tuesday night Crestmont was away again, this time in New Braunfels for a rematch against the Thunder. The Warriors dug in at the start and put another notch in the “win” column, defeating the Thunder in two sets, 25-17, 25-18.
Together, seniors Bella Parkinson and Faith Hill both led the way for the Warriors from start to finish. Hill drove the team offense, setting the ball in the front court for her teammate, Parkinson, who led the way with attacks.
Crestmont has a threegame home slate to finish the season. The Warriors take on Gloria Deo on Friday, Sept. 20, BACH on Sept. 24, and finally against Founder’s Classical Academy-Schertz for Senior Night on Sept. 27.
