Art AfterHours, Session 4 May 30 --Needle Punch Coaster Come make friends and art. Delve into fiber arts with an evening focused on a primitive art form somewhere between embroidery and rug hooking. Work with various yarns of color, texture and content. Discover the simple process of creating loops to construct a design, apply a backing for a complete project.
June 6, and June 13 --Sculpted Soap Holder (2-part) Immerse yourself in the three-dimensional world of sculpting. Form shapes out of polymer clay and apply them to three dimensional form. We will work with traditional coils and slabs, as well as, canes, mica colorants, and sculpting tools. Ascertain methods for attaching uncuredclay to cured clay. Finish a vessel or soap holder in this two part class.
