Local weapons expert Frank Graves will discuss and detail early Kendall County and Boerne weapons during a program scheduled at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, at the Patrick Heath Public Library.

Graves is an expert on American percussion firearms, a member of the invitation-only American Society of Arms Collectors and a 50-plus-year student of the earliest Colt revolvers.

Graves, who has been a collector since his youth, will share his extensive knowledge and life-long passion of early guns during his program. While many have heard of the famous marksman Ad Toepperwein, one the details that Graves said he has uncovered was the fact that his father, Boerne resident E.A.F. Toepper wein, actually developed a patent for a repeating rifle in 1875. The background on this story and more will be incorporated into the presentation.
