Governor appoints four to GBRA board

AUSTIN – Gov. Greg Abbott re- appointed three men to the Guadalupe- Blanco River Authority Board of Directors this week, but one local man was newly appointed to serve for the next four years.

AUSTIN – Gov. Greg Abbott re- appointed three men to the Guadalupe- Blanco River Authority Board of Directors this week, but one local man was newly appointed to serve for the next four years.

Patric Cohoon, who chairs the Kendall County Water Committee and operates a law firm in Boerne, was appointed by Abbott to sit on the board pending Texas Senate confirmation.

Abbott reappointed Emaunuel Valdez and appointed Robert Blaschke and John Cyrier to the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) Board of Directors for terms set to expire on February 1, 2029. Additionally, Governor Abbott appointed Patrick Cohoon for a term set to expire on February 1, 2027. The GBRA oversees water resources for the communities in its 10-county district.
