August weather does little to relieve drought

Even though August wasn’t quite as unbearably hot as July and the month brought a decent amount of rainfall, it still could be considered “the dog days” and certainly continued the hot and dry summer trend.

Autumn officially begins Sept. 22.

The average high temperature in Boerne in August was 96.5 degrees, or about 2.5 degrees warmer than normal. In July, the average high was 99.4.
