The International Center for Leadership in Education, with a mission to encourage, inspire and support today’s educators, has named the Boerne Independent School District a 2022 Innovative District for its systemwide focus on instruction and organization structures to increase student growth.
Boerne ISD team leaders have worked relentlessly to develop a vision focused on the needs of their students and community, information from the school district stated.
“Boerne ISD being named a nationwide innovative district is another reason why we are consistently mentioned as one of the top school districts not only in Texas but in the U.S.,” BISD Director of Communications Bryan Benway told The Star. “Our district, led by the Teaching and Learning Department and our campus administrators, have done a wonderful job with implementing administrative walkthroughs as well as reviewing district and campus data as it relates to student grades, testing and success. These are key factors that lay the groundwork for district innovation.”
